The Brewer Buffalo Project is working to bring buffalo back to end hunger on Pine Ridge. Operated by Bamm Brewer and his family, their beautiful 800 acre ranch is home to 80 buffalo. But like many ranchers, Bamm did not have adequate fencing and his buffalo kept getting out. With a Tanka Fund grant, Bamm was able to purchase the supplies for fencing his land for the buffalo and he and his sons have installed the fence themselves. Funds also covered costs for a used ATV so that Bamm and his sons can check on the buffalo and herd them if needed.
